Something I recently read

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced Thursday (Nov. 8) the commercial season for the harvest of king mackerel in Louisiana waters will reopen at 12:01 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 12, 2018) and remain open until further notice.
The decision came after the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries recently informed LDWF Secretary Jack Montoucet that the commercial season for the harvest of king mackerel in the western Gulf of Mexico will be reopened on Nov. 12. The commercial king mackerel season was closed on Oct. 5, 2018, but landings data indicate there is quota remaining to be harvested.
In anticipation of such a reopening, the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission, at its Nov. 1 meeting, gave Secretary Montoucet the authority to reopen the commercial king mackerel season.
